What big game is available?
Red Stags are the most sought-after big game.
The red stag was brought to Argentina from Europe in the early 1900s (or over a hundred years ago, or in the early 20th century) and has adapted well to Argentina’s diverse landscapes. In the last decade, it has become a sought-after trophy for hunters.
In addition to red stags, you may also have the opportunity to pursue axis deer, water buffalo, wild boar, blackbuck, fallow deer, feral goats and sheep, and mouflon, depending on the area.
Our Prime Hunting Regions
Patagonia: Known for its stunning natural beauty, Patagonia offers vast open spaces and varied terrain, perfect for stalking red stag in their natural habitat.
Fly fishing and trout fishing are other great activities that could be easily combined on the same trip.
Córdoba: This area is renowned for its rolling hills and lush vegetation, providing excellent conditions for both hunting and stunning scenery. The hunt will be conducted on horseback
La Pampa: The landscape is covered by thick bush and calden’s forests which makes the hunt challenging as you will need to make a perfect stalk to approach your prey at close distance.
Season
The hunting season for big game varies by province and species. Most of it are from May to mid December.
The red stag season is from March to July, although the best time is during the rutting season, typically from March to April, when stags are more active and vocal, making them easier to locate.
